About QHS
Established in 1997, QHS is a private company owned by Anne Shanahan and Peter Martin as the two full-time company partners who are very much hands-on during the crucial times of airport loading/unloading and during the quarantine period. Working in association with Malaysia's Department of Veterinary Services, Kuala Lumpur International Airport's (KLIA) Cargo and Quarantine division, reputable airlines, reliable road transporters, and a team of dedicated staff, our aim is to ensure your horse's safety and wellbeing throughout all stages of their journey.
Anne Shanahan - Managing Director
Horse enthusiast and former equestrian rider and polo player, Anne moved to Malaysia in 1987 where she has had a continuous contribution to all areas of the equine and shipping industry. Anne has acquired extensive knowledge regarding Malaysian procedures and requirements.
Peter Martin - Operations Manager
AATA (Animal Air Transporters Association) approved flying groom and National Proficiency Tests Council (NTPC) qualified, Peter joined QHS in 2004 bringing his valuable 40 years experience in the racing and breeding industry in the UK, including the handling of major projects moving horses worldwide.
Quarantine Staff
Based at the KLIA quarantine facility just 1.5 km from KLIA Cargo, our dedicated team of skilled horsemen attend to the horses 24 hours a day. Their extensive experience within all aspects of equine management constitutes a reliable and dedicated team to ensure the wellbeing of your horse during the quarantine adjustment period.
